Patrick McGaughey
Director of Investments - Northern California
Patrick is Paragon’s Director of Investments in Northern California. He is responsible for the acquisition, entitlement, leasing and construction of all Northern California projects.
Patrick joined Paragon following a successful brokerage career with Terranomics where for eleven years he assisted retail tenants in identifying new locations and executing expansion plans throughout all nine Bay Area counties. Patrick’s tenants included Lowe’s Home Improvement, Sprout’s Farmer’s Market, PGA Tour Superstore, Guitar Center, The Home Depot, Fidelity Investments and The Fresh Market. He has also represented a number of hotel developers throughout the Bay Area, most recently completing transactions with LaQuinta and Aloft.
Patrick was instrumental in the leasing of noteworthy ground-up retail developments including Fallon Gateway in Dublin, CA and Alameda Station in Alameda, CA as well as creative redesign and releasing of numerous existing shopping centers throughout Northern California. Prior to his tenure at Terranomics, Patrick was a Real Estate Manager for The Home Depot during which time The Home Depot opened over 30 new Home Depot locations in the Bay Area and Central Valley. Throughout this expansion, he led teams of architects, engineers and attorneys in the acquisition, entitlement and development of new store locations.
Patrick graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, and is currently an active member of ICSC where he serves on the ICSC Northern California Program Committee. He is involved with Operation Surf, a program serving wounded members of the military fostering rehabilitation and healing in the ocean. He has also served Big Brothers/Big Sisters of San Mateo County.
